If Buke hadn't called our ambulance to pick her up…
it would have taken her 3 hours to walk the 17km from her home to the hospital to give birth. Buke likely wouldn't have made it to the hospital at all that day; in fact, she hadn't had the means to go to the hospital for her previous 9 births. When ambulance driver Gerard was alerted that she was in labor, he sprung into action and drove her safely to the Madundas medical clinic where she delivered a healthy baby girl. This was the first time she was able to deliver a baby in a medical clinic, and our Moving Health Ambulance service funded by donations like yours made that possible.
